Press tour to meet Mamma’s pancake robot
How are pancakes made when there’s a robot helping in the kitchen? To find out, the PR Strategies team took journalists and food bloggers to Estonia’s best-smelling factory, home to Mamma’s much-loved pancakes.
Mamma’s new pancake robot, nicknamed Android-Mamma, can make enough delicious pancakes every minute to serve breakfast to 60 people. The increased production capacity allows Mamma to delight even more pancake lovers, both in Estonia and abroad.
During the visit, guests watched the pancake robot in action, met the factory team and tasted new Mamma products that will soon reach consumers in Estonia and on export markets.
Visitors don’t get to go behind the scenes at a food factory every day. The visit offered a rare opportunity to see first-hand how food is prepared in a modern production facility. What surprised the journalists and bloggers most was how carefully controlled and hygienic the process is, while retaining the familiar simplicity of home cooking: larger quantities and modern equipment, but recognisable ingredients and straightforward methods.
Alongside the factory tour, guests gained insights into the market of prepared meals, consumer expectations and Mamma’s growth plans. Talking directly with the factory team gave them the chance to ask questions that packaging alone cannot answer and to dispel a few myths about ready-made meals.
For the PR Strategies team, the day was another reminder of how much openness brings to communication. Giving people the opportunity to see, ask questions and taste for themselves helps them understand a company’s work and builds trust.
A big thank you to the Mamma team, led by Triin Lõoke and Aivo Varem, for an inspiring brief, their openness and a warm working relationship! It is a pleasure to help tell your stories and share them with a wider audience.
